preading holiday cheer to your classmates is another great way to get in the spirit of the season. Show your love by opening the door for them as they enter the studio or bring in a little treat for after class. You could even coordinate getting together outside of class. Make sure you include everyone!

Help Sew Some Shoes

For those who do pointe, you know how boring it can be to sew shoe after shoe! Help out a friend and offer to sew their shoes. Or if they need to dye their shoes, offer up your time. You are sure to help relieve some stress and maybe someone will return the favor.

Make a Snack for Someone

Bringing a snack or dinner to the studio? Help out a friend and offer to bring them a snack or dinner. It is sure to save them time and is also an easy way to spread some holiday cheer. Toss in a candy cane for an extra holiday spice!

Dance in the Snow

Bring the Christmas spirit to your own world and take time to dance in the snow! Or at least give a little leap as you are walking down the street. Or at least take time to get outside and basque in the beauty of the season.
Pro-tip: Grab your camera and see if you can get a picture of a single snowflake. We promise it will be an insta-worthy photo.

Reach out to an Old Friend

You know that dance friend that moved away or goes to a new studio now? Well now is the season to reach out back to them and let them know you are thinking of them! Write them a card or even send them an online message just to wish them a happy holiday and check in on them.

Thank Your Siblings

Life wouldn’t be much fun without your siblings or your BFF! So, let them know that you love them even if they annoy you once in a while. Write them a little note or do them a favor.
Pro-tip: Make them a stocking and fill it with their favorite things!

Clap After Someone Demonstrates

Show some positivity in class by clapping after someone demonstrates. This is a simple way to spread some cheer and help create a new classroom culture. Plus, it will make someone’s day! Or, if your teacher does not allow clapping, offer them a compliment after class.

Send a Gift to Your Studio Director/Owner

Show your appreciation to your studio owner and/or director by writing them a card that states why you love the opportunity to dance at the studio and thanking them for all their hard work. Tired of writing cards? Make a hot cocoa jar for them complete with a little note.

Sing a Holiday Tune

“The best way to spread cheer is singing loud for all to hear!” The movie Elf couldn’t be more right! On your way to dance, turn up the radio and sing along with your favorite Christmas tunes. Feeling bold?

Send Your Joy and Love to All

Spread your love to everyone you know by spending time with them or sending them a quick message. Happy holidays from the More Than Dancers family to yours! Have a blessed Christmas and New Year! Check back in January for new articles.
