Can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
I started dancing when I was 2 years old because my mom was a dance teacher at our studio and enrolled me in her classes! I absolutely love to dance! It is my passion, and I’m so happy she was able to teach me when I was a little girl!
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
No, it hasn’t been. I’m small, so when I’m learning new things, I have to remember to make them double the size. I also struggled with some back pain when I was little doing acro, so I just have to be careful.
What personal limitations if any did you go through in your young career?
Only some back pain, but not severe. It did limit the acro skills.
Has anybody ever tried to limit you on what you could do? If so how did you fight it?
No, but if they did I would push through and work harder!
How do you conquer negative talk?
I try and stay positive and sometimes ignore the negative talk that comes with all things in life. I am confident in saying that I’m kind to everyone.
What is your favorite quote?
"Treat others how you want to be treated!" - Original Author Unknown
So, what’s next? Any big plans?
Just to train more and become the best dancer I can be!
