Can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
I started dancing at the age of two. My mom is a ballet teacher, so I always liked to dance. I have participated in many contests, and I have had a prize for the best baby dancer in Argentina and hope award in Mexico City. I have participated in the Nutcracker with the choreographer Keyla Ermecheo and Sleeping Beauty. I obtained first place in lyrical jazz children's category 3 to 8 years old in the Inter American dance Confederation competition 2020.
I have classes every day from 4 to 9 pm, and I love it.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
At my age, sometimes a lot of people try to be rude to me on Instagram and in some classes. But I always continue doing my job because I want to be a professional ballerina.
What personal limitations if any did you go through in your young career?
I don’t have natural feet, so I work so hard to improve my arch.
Has anybody ever tried to limit you on what you could do? If so how did you fight it?
I don't pay attention to negative comments, and I'm always moving forward.
How do you conquer negative talk?
I always think about my grandfather, and he gives me a lot of strength to overcome my fears.
What is your favorite quote?
"Do. Or do not. There is no try." - By Yoda
So, what’s next? Any big plans?
I want to learn my first repertoire variation, and I will travel to compete outside of Mexico for the first time. I’m so excited about it!
