Can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.

I started creative movement at 18 months old and transitioned to dance classes at 3yrs old. I began attending conventions at 3yrs old and competitive dance at 5. I am where I am today because I am incredibly driven by my passion.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?

Nothing in this industry is easy. It takes a lot of hard work, determination, and persistence. While having talent may come easy, you have to put that talent to work. Additionally, you HAVE to love it, and the passion has to be there. That is the driving force that will take you far.

What personal limitations if any did you go through in your young career?

My location is somewhat of a limitation. There is a lot of traveling back and forth to do what I love, but you do what you gotta do to make it happen, and that’s what we do!

Has anybody ever tried to limit you on what you could do? If so how did you fight it?

I have been very fortunate to have a very supportive family.

How do you conquer negative talk?

My parents taught me that this industry is tough and very competitive, that there will always be someone who doesn’t like you or some who may even try to sabotage you or your opportunities. I’ve learned not to take things personally and that these things stem from others’ insecurities, and that I have to trust that my actions will always speak louder than the words of others.

What is your favorite quote?

"Be humble. Be hungry. And always be the hardest worker in the room." - Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson

So, what’s next? Any big plans?

Yes! I have very big plans in the making, which starts with some big changes this upcoming season, which will focus heavily on my training! I’m very excited and thankful to be on this journey!
