Can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
I started at age 4 with mommy and me dance classes. At age 6, I auditioned to be part of a dance company. I became a competitive dancer with my previous studio. I followed my passion and joined Miami Dance Collective in 2017. I have continued my training and growth ever since.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
It’s never easy to be a dancer. But with passion, commitment and dedication, it’s easier.
What personal limitations if any did you go through in your young career?
I have never been flexible, and that has always been one of my limitations.
Has anybody ever tried to limit you on what you could do? If so how did you fight it?
Yes, but I am determined and self-motivated. And that has helped me to fight with others placing limits on me. Perseverance is what makes me who I am today as a dancer.
How do you conquer negative talk?
By focusing on the positive.

So, what’s next? Any big plans?
I’m planning to continue with my personal growth and focus on following my dreams to be better at what I love. Dance!
