Can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
I started dancing when I was two when my mom started teaching acro/tumbling at a studio. I started competing with pageants, then went to dance team. And the last few years I’ve focused more on ballet. But this year, I am doing it all!
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
I’ve put in a lot of time and effort to get where I am. I think things are getting harder for sure!
What personal limitations if any did you go through in your young career?
As I get older, I’m feeling less confident than I did as a mini.
Has anybody ever tried to limit you on what you could do? If so how did you fight it?
I think people think I do too much, but it's hard to limit what you love doing.
How do you conquer negative talk?
I try and ignore it.
So, what’s next? Any big plans?
I have YAGP and the rest of the dance season.
