Can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
I started dancing when I was 2 and started competing when I was 5. I train in all styles at my studio and do additional ballet training at Grant Training Program.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
I have worked hard and practiced many hours. This year was difficult because I fractured my 5th metatarsal and sprained my ankle in October. It’s been challenging coming back from injuries, but I’m feeling stronger.
What personal limitations if any did you go through in your young career?
I've had two injuries.
How do you conquer negative talk?
I try to focus on the positive.
What is your favorite quote?
"Kindness - it costs nothing and it means everything" - Author Unknown
So, what’s next? Any big plans?
I have Velocity Dance Nationals.
