How Many Dance Classes Do Dancers Take: Part 1

When you first start off doing dance, you may only take a couple classes a week. This is perfectly fine as you are easing your way in to dance. And remember, you do not have to take a million dance classes, take what you are comfortable with. That being said, have you ever wondered how many dance classes dancers in the “big leagues” take? Well, we wondered that too. So we reached out to our fabulous dance community, and here’s what they had to say:

  1. 3-4 per week :)

  1. About 3-4 M-F not including privates 😉🙃💕
  1. Six. Two competition dances. Five recital dances (competition included). And two technique classes. Might not sound quite right but it is.

  1. Five during the week, and a three-hour session on weekends, starting in Feb 💫

  1. 7-8 per week with privates and pbt🙂

  1. 7 plus a solo and a duet! ❤️❤️❤️ and online classes on top of that when I can fit it in ❤️❤️❤️

  1. 9 classes plus rehearsals/privates. 😊

  1. About 10 a week! 🙌❤️

Those all sound manageable, right? With a little time management, anything is possible. But remember, everyone is one their own dance journey. So this many dance classes may not seem possible now, but it could be in the future. However, did you know some dancers take more than this? That’s right! Come back next week to find out just how many classes some of our dance community takes! Since this is a two parter, we’re shouting out all dancers in both articles who contributed:
