That doesn’t mean you have to sacrifice your love for warm drinks! Here are 5 cost-effective alternatives to coffee shop drinks.

Carmel and Cream Cider

A fancy take on a traditional apple cider! Warm up an 8oz cup of apple cider and add in a ½ a tablespoon of caramel syrup and 2 tablespoons of vanilla creamer. Throw on a dollop of whipped cream, sprinkle it with cinnamon, and add in a cinnamon stick for an insta-worthy winter day drink.

Looking for a drink that warms the soul, but doesn’t have any caffeine? This Vanilla Steamer will be your new go-to drink! Combine 2 cups of hot milk with 5 teaspoons of brown sugar and ½ a teaspoon of vanilla extract.

Steamy Lemonade

Bring a little summer to the winter months with this warm take on summers sweet treat: lemonade! Boil one cup of hot water and add in ½ a lemon, 2 tbsp. of sugar, and to spruce it up some more add in a sprig of mint and a slice of ginger. This sweet treat is not only tasty, but perfect for soothing a sore throat.

Maple Spice Steamer

Taste the spice of fall with this maple spice steamer. Just combine these ingredients 2 cups of milk, 1 tablespoon of maple syrup, 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract, 1 teaspoon of cinnamon, and ¼ teaspoon of nutmeg and sip away on this coffee house rendition.

Probably the most iconic fall drink: the pumpkin spice latte. Begin by brewing ¼ a cup of espresso or strong coffee. Mix together 1 cup of milk, 2 tablespoons of pumpkin puree, 1 tablespoon of sugar, ¼ a teaspoon of pumpkin pie spice, and ¼ a teaspoon of vanilla extract. Microwave the mixture until hot and then whisk vigorously to froth the mixture. Pour it over the espresso and you have your very own pumpkin spice latte!
