Meet Aspen Alexandra, and she is 4 years old. She dances at Demetra Dance Studio in California. Aspen has always worked hard, but it was never “ hard work” as she is incredibly determined to push her limits beyond every limit people have tried to set for her.
Dance classes can range from 30 minutes to 2 hours. Given all of this time, dancers may find they have a part of dance class they look forward to most. But who doesn’t have a favorite part of dance class?! We reached out to our dance community and asked them, what is your favorite part of dance class?
Meet Paula Cirule, 13, and she lives in Miami FL. She dances at Miami Dance Collective. She started when she was almost 8 years old when everyone around her had been dancing since they were 3, but soon enough, she caught up and got on level with everyone.
Meet Sydney Upchurch, and she is 15 years old. She am located in Cary, North Carolina and dances at Cary Ballet Conservatory. The only personal limitation she has gone through was when she first started she would sometimes compare herself to others.
Meet Nicole Kosasih Widjaja, 13, and she lives in Indonesia, Jakarta. She dances at Marlupi Dance Academy. She started when she was 5 years old after she fully recovered from a fracture.
With dance classes starting up again, it can be hard to get back into a routine (unless you did intensives over the summer). So whether this is your first time taking dance classes, or you need to get back into your dance routine, we have compiled a list. We reached out to our dance community and asked how they get ready for dance. Here’s what they had to say:
